The lovely Danielle from Framed Frosting coordinated a Secret Blogger Swap that I happily signed up for and what fun! Today we reveal our gifts and thank those who sent them. This was such a unique idea and with so much going on in May for my family I have to admit I wasn’t quite as creative with my packaging as I wished I could have been but do hope my person enjoys their gifts!
With that let me introduce and THANK Jenny, my Secret Blogger Swap Partner! You can check out her blog at Strickly Strickland’s. What I love most about her package is that she themed it around my love of the ocean. Included in the box of goodies was a blue water bottle that I’ve already been using on a daily basis lol… lunch tote perfectly adorned with polka dots… matching napkins (with kids how does a Mom live w/out these on any adventure?)… two amazing scented candles (fresh ocean flowers & creamy tahitian coconut)… and some feather earrings too!! I’m in love, thank you so very much Jenny 🙂
I have to admit though that my favorite part of the package was actually the letter sent along. What a sweet introduction Jenny made of herself but she also took the time to set the stage for each gift that was sent and wanted me to feel like I was at my favorite beach with the waves crashing, the warm sun, the cool salty breeze and even sand between my toes. Talk about an escape! Thank you again for the time you spent making my gift special, it was appreciated more than you know.
A quote from Martin Luther… “The Hair is the richest ornament of women.” I find myself liking this more and more since lately I’ve been very intrigued by hair jewelry. Beautiful hair accents have been making waves on the red carpet as well and I can’t even begin to decide which are my absolute faves. From gorgeous necklaces wrapped around buns or braids to jeweled clips and floral barrettes adorning the hair I am quickly becoming a fan and on the prowl for some new ways to spice up my own do!
Which are your favorite looks & have you found some fun new toys for your hair that you would love to share? Over the next couple of days I plan on searching my little heart out for some accessories that catch my eye and will happily share with you soon. In the meantime check out my pin board of Sassy Hairstyles & Accessories !
Window shopping online can be quite fun, especially with the ability to find a great deal or a brand new discovery or designer without paying the gas mileage for such. Small boutiques provide uniqueness that I personally prefer when buying something I hope to treasure for some time. Etsy is a wonderful online plaza of talented designers who are eager to share their creations with the world. I can easily lose myself and all track of time scouring their stores. Check out my recent finds:
“Home of the BFF Necklaces and Mother & Daughter Necklaces.” I just love the style of these pieces as well as the updated version of a classic favorite like the best friend necklace. With a gorgeous array of colors and feminine stamped design you just can’t miss the mark here for surprising your Mom, daughter, sister or best friend with a unique present. My favorite is the Mother and 2 Daughter necklace shown above. Shop owner, Jessica Marshall is very happy to accommodate your choice of color or customize a set for you.
How beautiful are these colors? I absolutely love skirts and dresses for the Summer. They are my go-to outfit for everything from BBQ’s to our local festivals and even hanging with the kids down by the lake. May does a gorgeous job of playing with vibrant colors & patterns along with flowing fabrics so it was love at first site for me when I found this shop.
Have you discovered some new places to shop on Etsy? Do share!
This week the Man and I are out and about having some fun for our 10yr anniversary. First stop was NYC for some fun at The Daily Show and then a double date with friends to enjoy some amazing Korean Fusion at Danji. I would highly recommend this to any and all. The world needs a dose of sake and tofu from time to time… trust me. Dessert was insisted upon and I finally was introduced to Pinkberry. Thank goodness this place does not exist near me because it is ‘visit me daily’ good.
The day ended with a deliciously double bubbled bath by LUSH. Can we say sweet smelling perfection? Lush believes that the “best way to enjoy bath time is to make it fragrant, relaxing and slow – a reward for making it through the day.” I absolutely agree. Have you tried a bubble bar lately? They are divine and one of the most sweetest gifts you can give to someone you love in my humble opinion. 😉
Now on to day 2! Today was travel from New York out to New Hampshire for a couple nights at Mountain View Grand Resort & Spa. The Man is eager for a massage while I am thinking more along the lines of some beauty pampering like a spa pedicure and facial please! Although the day looks to be a bit dreary and some rain is expected to follow us out there I’m in high spirits. Our halfway mark will be a Yankee Candle Village Store with over 400,000 candles to be smelled by yours truly. Heaven!
Only thing missing is a lovely pair of Hunter boots. I’ve been desiring such for some time now. But how do I pick??
